[And why are you calling him about birds. There is a very confused Irishman on the end of this line who may be used to nonsense but not your particular brand of it, and certainly not at this hour in the day.]

[ said in an easygoing kind of casual monotone, because he has. no real idea who he called. ]

[Faolan spends a brief period of time considering whether he should really answer the question, but then again it's pretty obvious that the person on the other side of the line doesn't harbor him any ill intent. He really just doesn't know who he is talking to at all. Nor does he seem to particularly mind that fact for that matter.]

It's kind of a question about both. Like, do you think peacocks qualify as rave turkeys?

[Faolan runs a hand over his face. Which obviously Dave can't see, but it's definitely happening.]

Look I guess if it were a choice between the two comparisons, peacocks and turkeys have the better resemblance.

What do you know about this Retrospec, what can you tell me about them?

[There's no way, no how that anything to do with them is good news.]

Not a whole lot. We know the names of three employees right now - Janet Wiseman in HR, Jim Halloway in R&D, and Maurice who also might be in R&D? - and they've all contacted us at least once sans Maurice but have never carried on a conversation really. They seem to know what's up, but they...may or may not be the cause? It's not super clear. At least they do seem to be able to trigger memories, and they are the ones who send us items from time to time.

[Faolan was holding his own well enough up until the part where you mentioned--]

No one has told me about the memories.

[Though he and Laurent have been experiencing very unusual happenings, of late. Happenings involving memories.]

What do you mean, trigger memories?

[parodeity]

Ok, so, that's ridiculous since that's like the first warnin' people should give out on here. But basically, dependin' on if you believe it or not - there is some debate always - we may have had past lives. I'm on team that bein' a thing, for the record. And occasionally you will experience vivid flashbacks of said life if...stuff happens to make that come back to you. You may also experience physical changes and superpowers, but that shit usually doesn't happen until month two or so.
