INFORMANT ★ Queen Solais was recently informed that Reynard the Fox is attempting to raise the sundered courts, using a combination of collected shards and incredibly powerful ancient artifacts called sigils. Unfortunately, no one seems to know where the sigils have disappeared to! Gwenllian, one of the Seelie commanders, will seek out your character and give them this mission: to seek out the location of these sigils, so that they can be collected and safeguarded in Caer Glaem! Since these are artifacts of great power, others may learn of them and try to use them to their own ends, so Faolan cannot reveal that he has been sent to discover their location. Gwenllian will inform him that Reynard has recently made unprecedented attacks on several entrenched figures within the drabwurld: Alyosha Hazan, Guardian of Redgate, Governor Fortuna of Treun, the Sisterhood, and Ceit the Siren, each of whom is powerful and ancient enough to have greater knowledge of the sigils. She suggests that each of these had friends among current shardbearers, and that his research should begin in discovering which shardbearers have good rapport with these individuals, so that he can maintain a degree of separation from the true source of the information, and see if anything turns up! LOG: Faolan receives a message from one of the Seelie commanders that sets some actions in motion. REWARD: Upon success, Gwenllian will forward what information he collects up to the Queen, and give him a golden ring emblazoned with the symbol of a dagger trapped in a sun. This, she would tell him, would allow him to requisition unparalleled aid of Seelie-aligned NPCs, and to gain automatic command of Seelie troops and soldiers when there is no higher-ranking pc present.

HERO ★★★ Lancelot was one of the team who battled Reynard at Maupertius, as well as fucking up his shit twice before, and thus is on his revenge list. Reynard is therefore, tomorrow, officially taking Lancelot's dog. This is very sad. Lancelot will be very sad. Lancelot, however, is Seelie Marshal and refuses to be seen to be placing the life of his dog above anyone else. Especially since the price is a sigil or shard to pay the ransom. He cannot, however, abandon his dog because she saved him! He adores her! She is kind of his emotional touchstone. Thus, he will have a minor breakdown at Faolan tomorrow and issue him the following quest: Find out where Reynard is, currently, if he is still in Redgate or loose somewhere else. Where he has been seen before that. Where he might be holding the things he has taken. If you can rescue her without putting yourself at risk, do so. LOG: Faolan rescues a dog and helps kill a Fox. REWARD: A personal commendation from Lancelot, Lancelot's personal protection and loyalty, further shard training & training in swordsmanship from Lancelot himself, plus some monetary compensation for helping slay the Hart.

KEEP YOUR FRIENDS CLOSE ★★★ Of late, with the fairy rings beginning to fail as a means of transport, communications from agents out in the cities have begun to slow and I have no real way of checking in with them. The cities closest to Caer Glaem are my current concern. Travel to Parrais, Treun and Daonna -- Leathann’s agent was Tarz and he has since returned, so it may also be wise to find out what developments the city has had. Contact each of the above and take a detailed report from them on activity in the city. Notable events, temperament, key figured, any problems we may need to address. Make sure this information does not fall into the wrong hands -- and make sure you are not recognised. Return the information to me to collate, the other cities can be addressed in time. LOG: Following Lancelot's orders, Faolan connects with the agents stationed in Treun, Parrais, and Daonna, as well as the contacts Tarz informed him of in Leathann, learning some pretty valuable information as he travels. REWARD: Upon his return to Caer Glaem and his relaying the information from the agents to Lancelot, Lancelot appoints him to be in charge of the spies he has just liaised with. He is also rewarded with 150 gold coins and a hug.

aVOID GETTING CAUGHT ★★★ Individuals with local contacts, who are alright with theft, and good at that aspect of espionage and location casing might be able to get their hands on sensitive government records about the Void! They’d need to fool guards, get past magical security, and battle a guardian water elemental to recover the encrypted file. Also Faolan has to write a song about his adventures and perform it to Dorian when he finishes the quest. It's non-negotiable. Dorian will also encourage Faolan to pick up any interesting government documents while he's there. Details on who is in charge, major players' histories and habits, etc. Basically—and Dorian will probably say this pretty clearly—he is not satisfied with how Leathann is being governed (ie IT'S FALLING APART APPARENTLY) and wants the necessary deets to help restructure it, coerce people in charge, or straight up hijack this motherfucker. LOG: Faolan makes the journey to Leathann to steal the records from the Records Office in Leathann, with every intention of fighting the guardian he encounters there. Instead, he finds himself making a deal... REWARD: Void information! Dorian will give Faolan information once they manage to decrypt it, is likely to cut Faolan in on other Void information he gets, and will help Faolan contact people on the black market and in criminal circles. Also, Faolan can get 5 gold marks (not stolen, promises! ...just the profits of stolen goods) and will give him two sets of private communicators, one of which will let him contact Dorian and the other which he can give to anyone. Dorian will design them to Faolan's specifications. He traditionally creates rings that can be worn for audio communication with failsafes to ensure conversations are private, but he can design other things if Faolan sucks and doesn't want nice bling. Also, a very big in for whatever Dorian works for next. Faolan's admin spies would be protected and supported through Dorian's channels and he'd keep Faolan in the loop on other information he might get. Co-op attacks p. much.
